After a lot of hard rowing this week I have reached Mull in Scotland on my google map. I have rowed 61,999 metres in 7 days this week (that is nearly 39 miles) which has helped my position in the team rankings for the Fall Rowing Challenge - read about Empty the Tanks progress on my other blog: http://carolinesrowing.blogspot.com/
The reason that reaching the Isle of Mull means a lot to me is that Mum really enjoyed the family holiday's we spent on the Isle of Mull in the 80's and my brother William and I have treasured memories of those times. William, Dad and I traveled to Mull in 2004 to scatter Mum's ashes on her favourite beach - the photograph was taken on that fresh February morning.
My total stands at 965,306 metres which is 599 miles.
